This course allows students to explore the varied history of immigrants from the colonial period to the present and develop many of the skills that are central to historical inquiry. These skills include the following:
- Understanding of the discipline’s methods and processes
- Analyzing primary and secondary sources
- Conducting research in multiple sites
- Conducting a self-directed study
- Communicating in a group setting
